Traits and Actions

Incorporeal Movement

Trait
Grappler Condition Custom
The wisp can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 force damage if it ends its turn inside an object. The wisp cannot be grappled or restrained.

Grappler Condition. Immunity to being grappled due to incorporeal nature.

Song of the Deep Mist

Trait
Psychic Damage Custom
The wisp emits a low, patient hum audible within 300 feet. Creatures starting their turn within this area must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or take 1 psychic damage. A creature immune to psychic damage ignores this effect.

Multiattack

Action
The wisp makes two Song-Lash attacks.

Song-Lash

Action
Spell Attack Roll Custom
Melee Spell Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (3d8 + 5) psychic damage.

Hungry Song

Action
Charmed Condition Custom
Recharge 5-6. Each creature within 60 feet must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the target takes 36 (8d8) psychic damage and is charmed by the wisp for 1 minute. While charmed, the target must use its movement to approach the wisp on each of its turns. At the end of each of its turns, the target can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. On a success, the target takes half damage and isn't charmed.

Running the encounter

Combat Behavior

Combat Style

Controller. Drifts through walls to maintain range. Uses Hungry Song to pull enemies into melee range where Multiattack applies. Avoids direct confrontation with high-damage dealers until they are charmed or isolated.
