Oculothrax's Insight

This blackened crystal orb contains the essence of the Oculothrax and is approximately the size of a grapefruit. While holding it, you can see through magical darkness as if it were dim light. Additionally, you can use an action to focus your senses, allowing you to roll advantage on one Wisdom (Perception) check you make while within 30 feet of an enemy. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. However, the orb also carries a dark curse; any time you roll a natural 1 on an attack roll or ability check while using this item, you take 1d6 necrotic damage or 2d6 necrotic damage if you are undead.
