Cursed Land, One Wish

Objectives:
The main objective of this campaign is to break the dark curse that has taken over the land, and in return, each hero will be granted one wish to solve all their problems. However, this information is based on word of mouth, so the heroes will need to confirm it and ensure they are not being deceived.

Setting:
The campaign starts in the small village of Blighted Haven, located on the edge of the Enchanted Forest. The once-peaceful village is now plagued by the curse, with death, decay, and thorny vines appearing everywhere. The forest itself is now a dangerous and unpredictable place, filled with the twisted creations of the curse.

Challenges and Encounters:
The heroes will face numerous challenges and encounters, including:
- NPCs: Various villagers, traders, and wanderers that can provide information, quests, or assistance.
- The Cult of Darkness: A mysterious and sinister organization dedicated to spreading the curse. The cultists are the main antagonists of the campaign, and the heroes will need to confront them throughout their journey.
- Monsters: The cursed land has given life to twisted and dangerous creatures. The heroes will face various monsters, such as corrupted animals, undead, and abominations born from the curse.
- Survival: The heroes will need to gather resources, find shelter, and deal with the harsh conditions of the cursed land.

Rewards and Consequences:
The heroes will be rewarded with gold, magical items, and experience points for completing quests, defeating enemies, and overcoming challenges. However, every action has a consequence, and the heroes' decisions will affect the outcome of the campaign.

Allies and Enemies:
During their journey, the heroes will encounter various characters that may join them or oppose them. These characters include:
- The Resistance: A group of villagers, adventurers, and outcasts that oppose the Cult of Darkness and seek to break the curse.
- The Cult of Darkness: Various cultists, from low-ranking initiates to powerful leaders. The cultists will try to hinder the heroes' progress and spread the curse.
- Contenders: Other adventurers, mercenaries, or treasure hunters that may ally or oppose the heroes.

The Enchanted Forest:
Hidden deep within the forest is the way to cure the land. The heroes will need to explore the forest, overcome its dangers, and find the source of the curse. The forest is full of secrets, treasures, and dangers, and the heroes will need to be prepared for anything.

The Curse:
The dark curse is the main obstacle of the campaign. The heroes will need to find out the origin of the curse, its true nature, and how to break it. However, not everything is as it seems, and the heroes may uncover a deeper and more sinister plot.

Starting Event:
The campaign starts with the heroes arriving at Blighted Haven, seeking refuge from the cursed land. They will soon discover the villagers' plight and the rumors of the one wish. The heroes will then decide whether to help the villagers and break the curse or ignore it and continue their journey.

Player Characters:
The player characters can be of any race, class, or background. However, for one of the player characters, make it personal. Maybe someone they know was captured, killed, or enslaved by the Cult of Darkness. This will give the player character a personal motivation to break the curse and confront the cult.
