Racial Features

Darkvision

You have Darkvision with a range of 60 feet. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Usage: None

Lightning Reflexes

Your base walking speed is 35 feet. You can take the Dash action as a Bonus Action. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.

Usage: Proficiency Bonus times per Long Rest

Torment Feast

When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with an attack or spell, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Proficiency Bonus. Once you use this trait, you cannot do so again until you finish a Short or Long Rest, unless the creature was a Humanoid or Fey, in which case you may use it again after any rest.

Usage: Once per Short or Long Rest (special refresh on Humanoid/Fey)

Sadistic Insight

You have proficiency in the Intimidation skill. You gain advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks against any creature that is frightened or that you have damaged since the start of your last turn.

Usage: None

Rules Compatibility

Primary Ruleset D&D 5.5 / SRD 5.2
Compatible Rulesets D&D 5.5 / SRD 5.2, D&D 5e / SRD 5.1
Ability Scores Flexible 5.5-style. Base provides +0; each lineage grants exactly +3 total (+2/+1) so every playable combination stays within the +3 positive budget and never exceeds +2 to a single score.
Balance Notes Comparable to official SRD species such as Elf, Orc, or Goliath. Base grants darkvision, modest speed increase with limited Bonus Action Dash, situational temporary hit points on kill, and a skill proficiency with conditional advantage. No flight, innate spellcasting, resistance suites, or armor. Each lineage adds three narrow utility or soft-control traits that do not stack multiple high-impact combat features at level 1. Total power level remains within standard species budget.
