Veil of the Banshee

This tattered, translucent veil shimmers with a faint, ghostly glow. When worn, it allows the wearer to cast the spell 'Speak with Dead' once per day without requiring a spell slot. Additionally, once per day, the wearer can exude an aura of sorrowful wailing that imposes disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws of all creatures within a 10-foot radius for 1 minute. However, the veil also saps a small fragment of the wearer’s life force. After using its abilities, the wearer must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or gain a level of exhaustion as the veil demands a toll on their vitality, fueling its cursed nature. The veil was woven from the spirits of the sorrowful dead by Cyhyraeth, who used the anguished cries of lost souls to craft this item and maintain its connection to the realm of the dead.
