This tattered black cloak is woven from the spectral essence of lost souls. While worn, it grants the user advantage on saving throws against being frightened and allows them to cast the spell 'Dissonant Whispers' once per long rest. However, for each time the wearer uses its magical properties, they must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or take 1d4 psychic damage due to the anguish of the souls woven into the cloak. Additionally, after casting 'Dissonant Whispers', the cloak whispers haunting secrets that can reveal one piece of information about the immediate surroundings, but only if the wearer can handle the emotional burden of hearing those grievances. If the wearer fails to confront their own inner turmoil, they suffer from disadvantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks until they have taken a short or long rest. The cloak was crafted by Wrathwraith from the mourning wails of those who fell in battle, a constant reminder of their unfulfilled desires and vengeful spirits, forever seeking resolution through its wearer.
