Warfather's Tattered War Banner

This shredded, blood-stained banner is a relic from the countless battles fought by Warfather Terath. When unfurled, the War Banner instills great courage in allies, granting them advantage on saving throws against fear effects while within 30 feet. However, the power of the banner is drawn from the souls of the fallen; for each hour the banner is displayed in battle, the wielder must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or suffer a level of exhaustion as they become haunted by the spirits of those who died on the field. Additionally, the banner can be used once per long rest to unleash a war cry, causing enemies within a 20-foot cone to roll a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of the user's next turn. The banner’s tattered fabric is made from the remnants of the clothing of the orc tribes that fell before Terath, and it is said to hold a piece of each warrior's spirit. Those who wield it are reminded of the heavy cost of war, both for allies and enemies alike.
