When held, it grants the user an ability to temporarily blend into their surroundings as if becoming one with the shadows, providing advantage on Stealth checks for 1 minute. However, each time it is activated, the user must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or lose a fragment of their own identity, resulting in disadvantage on Insight checks until a long rest is taken. This item reflects the Faceless’ nature as an aberration that thrives on the fear of the unknown and anonymity, collected from the remains of those they have consumed. The sphere itself can be found among the tortured remains of those who have been driven mad, a testament to the price of obscurity.
