The pet-born PC must recover four shards, each guarding an animal lord (hawk, wolf, boar, otter) and unlocking new powers for wielder and familiar. The quest spans Verdant Wilds, Ember Teeth, Silvermere, and Saltmarsh, and culminates in a confrontation with Cagewright.

Setting: A land of lush forests, ember-lit caverns, bustling ports, and ancient ruins. The familiar whispers guidance and unlocks pet-themed 5e options (Beast Master, Shepherd, etc.). Exploration, diplomacy with animal rulers, and moral choices about control vs. freedom drive the campaign.
