Overview
This beginner-friendly 5e campaign is designed for first-time players, suitable for levels 1–3. It emphasizes storytelling, Exploration, social interaction, and straightforward combat with gentle guidance from a supportive DM.

Setting
Eldermoor sits along the Luth River, with the Gloomwood forest to the east. The town relies on the Brightwater Gem to power its wells, especially during the Harvest Moon festival approaching in a few weeks.

Main Quest
The Brightwater Gem has been stolen, and the wells are running dry. The party must retrieve the gem from a goblin lair in the Gloomwood and restore water to Eldermoor before the festival, building confidence and cohesion as new adventurers.

Hooks
- An anxious innkeeper begs you to save the festival by bringing back the gem.
- A curious child slips a torn map pointing toward the forest gate.
- The town guard captain offers a modest reward and safe passage for the journey.

Adventure Outline
- In Town: Gather supplies, follow leads at the market, and experience a low-stakes social encounter with consequences tied to the town’s wellbeing.
- Trail to Gloomwood: Manage simple environmental hazards, spot goblin scouts, and track the gem’s aura to a hidden entrance.
- Goblin Lair: A compact dungeon with 3–4 goblins and a boss, featuring opportunities for diplomacy, stealth, or classic combat.
- Return & Resolution: Reclaim the Brightwater Gem, restore wells, and celebrate with Eldermoor’s Harvest Moon festival.

Side Quests (optional)
- Help the apothecary gather herbs for a healing salve.
- Deliver a letter to a forest hermit or locate a missing family heirloom.

Rewards & Progression
Milestone leveling to level 2 after completing the main quest. Rewards include 50–100 gp per PC, a minor magic item—Amulet of Water Breathing (uncommon)—and the town’s gratitude. The campaign emphasizes safety, roleplay, and building confidence for new players.
