Overview

In the borderlands where ash-clad volcanic peaks meet the Moonwood, Kaelor Flamecarver (red dragonborn) and Lyriella Moonshadow (elf) share a forbidden love. Each belongs to a clan that would rip them apart for crossing a cultural law or bloodline taboo. The PCs are drawn into a perilous chase as rival tribes hunt the couple, threatening to plunge the region into open war. The goal is to survive the pursuit, uncover the feud’s origins, and decide whether a new alliance can be forged or if tragedy will seal their fate.

Setting

Three hubs anchor the campaign: the Cinder Peaks (Emberclaw forges and lava channels); the Moonshadow Glade (Moonwatch encampments and sacred groves); and the neutral ruins of the Convergence Vale where ancient pacts were once sworn. Magic here is visceral—fire and song, oathbound runes, and the ever-present danger of a telling omen.

Main Quest

The lovers seek safety and a lasting change to the feud. The party must locate the Pactstone, an ancient relic capable of binding or severing feuding powers. To awaken its power, players navigate Emberclaw and Moonwatch diplomacy, uncover a manipulative priestly cult that profits from war, and perform the Rite of Binding at the Convergence Shrine during a Blood Moon when the stones align.

Side Quest

Rescue a captured messenger who bears a scroll detailing the cult’s schemes, and recover a missing rite tablet that documents the original treaty between Emberclaw and Moonwatch. These revelations weaken the cult’s grip and tilt the balance toward peace—or a more brutal stalemate, depending on the party’s choices.
