Overview

In the cozy village of Willowglade, fairy tales are real and bedtime stories come alive. The Rainbow Lantern, a magical beacon that keeps color and joy bright, has dimmed. The four colors have slipped into friendly fairy-tale places. The players—3-4 kids, ages 7—are brave, curious, and kind. Their quest is to find the color shards and sing the Color Song to restore the Lantern before night falls and the town forgets its colors.

Setting

Willowglade sits at the edge of the Whispering Woods, beside Moonbeam Pond, with Sunflower Hill to the east. The path leads to cozy cottages, a giggling stream, and a bakery where stories are told after each loaf. The four color locations are Red Orchard, Blue Lake, Yellow Meadow, and Green Forest. Each place is safe, magical, and full of gentle wonders.

Main Quest

Retrieve the four color shards, reassemble the Rainbow Lantern, and awaken the Guardian of Color to brighten Willowglade again. The main objective is teamwork and imagination, not fighting. The Color Song must be sung at dawn; if the song is delayed, clouds creep in and the stars peek out in daytime, but with perseverance the kids can still succeed.

Side Quests (little investigations)

• Hedgehog Acorns: help a shy hedgehog gather four acorns to plant a new tree.


• Windmill Fix: coax a cranky windmill back to turning by solving a tiny puzzle.


• Sleepy Dragon: sing a lullaby to a dragon who only needs a friend to rest.


• Storybook Page: listen to a storyteller and discover a missing page that reveals a clue.

Central events and triggers

• Dusk brings dimming colors unless the shards are found and the lantern reassembled.


• A playful mischief sprite hides the shards; kindness and cooperation reveal clues.


• Completing the quest fills Willowglade with color and starts a joyful Color Festival.

Hooks

A messenger sparrow asks for help with the lantern; a bakery offers tasty rewards for kindness; a story-loving elder shares a hint about the Color Song.
