A cult called the Verdant Consecration worships the Bloom and hunts the hero, while a shadowy patron offers cryptic guidance and questionable gifts. Time presses as seasons shift and the Bloom's influence thickens. Boons and growth: With every fragment the hero gains a powerful new ability that channels the Bloom rather than fighting it: disease resistance and vitality, plant and life manipulation, stealth and movement through spores, or flame and heat. The character becomes a conduit for the plague, forcing the party to weigh risk versus power. Side quests: Aid a plague-ravaged village, decipher a ruined archive for Locus lore, or rescue a healer trapped in a spore-tangled ruin. Each side objective yields clues and helps stabilize regions before the Bloom spills over. Finale and rewards: Reassemble the Locus Stone in the Core Spire to decide the Bloom's fate — purge the land, contain it within the bearer, or merge with the bearer to become a new vessel.
