Overview: Vaelune is a land where dragons rule from hidden sanctums and mortals scrape by among ruins. An ancient rite, the Dragon Convergence, stirs toward completion. When the five elder dragons fuse their essences, a new world-shaping wyrm will awaken and disrupt balance across kingdoms. The party is drawn into a fragile alliance with dragon factions, mortal kingdoms, and a rogue guild of crafters who meddle with dragonbone and magic.

Main quest: Seek and recover the Dragonshard Keys—five relics hidden in dragon citadels. Each key binds to a guardian, from sovereign dragons to dragonborn cult leaders. The keys must be placed on the Dragon Altar at the Cradle, a seismic nexus, to either seal the Convergence or redirect it. The party will negotiate diplomacy, survive draconic trials, and decide whether to empower or thwart dragonkind.

Side quest: Investigate the Emberwrights, technomancers who fuse dragonbone with clockwork. Their experiments awaken a captive elder dragon beneath the city. Players may ally with, or oppose, them. The choice reshapes cities and loyalties.

Hooks: A child's prophecy etched into a bone talisman; a map carved on a dragon-scale fragment; a kidnapped hatchling with a dragon-voice in its dreams; a molten sigil-summoner spreading through ports.

Locations: Verdant Wyrmhold, Ashen Wastes, Crystal Spine, Nightsea Basin, Sunreach Isles, culminating at Dragonspire.

Challenges and rewards: Political intrigue, perilous lairs, moral questions about dragon power, and fierce battles with drakes, wyverns, cultists, and the rogue Emberwrights. Rewards include dragon-touched magic, scale-armor, rare feats, a temporary dragon ally, and access to draconic languages and lore.
