Jasmine and Ohney survive a dragon raid on their Viking village and uncover a clockwork heart, obsidian bones, and a Draconic scroll bearing Bone, blood, command. They rescue a child, Fenu, and pursue the fleeing dragon to a cave where they meet Rylin, a creature who is half real and half clockwork. After Rylin heals them with the clockwork heart, the dragon reveals that a sorceress named Talia has trapped dragons and then ferries the party to Ashwood, an abandoned seaside cliff village. Rylin refuses to go deeper, leaving the group with Fenu to investigate.

In Ashwood the party learns the settlement was once dwarven, later usurped by Vikings. A tattered archive reveals Dwarven King Dain’s letters describing Talia as the wife of King Firfur Bottlemane and recounting a dwarven expedition that found a dragon’s remains with an Obeli core embedded in its heart—evidence that Talia uses the Obeli to imprison dragons. The dragon’s stillness masks a brewing unrest as more Draconic kin drift toward rage and captivity.

Main quest: find and dismantle Talia’s Obeli-linked prison, free captive dragons, and uncover her true objective while keeping Fenu safe. Side quests include deciphering the scroll to reveal a ritual, tracing Dain’s letters to unearth ancient dwarven forges, and rescuing Fenu’s injured parents to rally a credible alliance against Talia.

Key locations include Jarl’s Hold, the cliff-side Ashwood ruins, hidden Dwarven forges beneath the waves, and a secluded tower where Talia schemes. Central events trigger when dragon sightings spike, the Obeli pulse resonates, or the clockwork hearts unrest townlines—forcing players to choose immediate relief or long-term strategy.

Rewards consist of a growing alliance with Rylin’s kin, upgrades to the clockwork artifacts (heart, lungs), unique dwarven-made arms and armor, and a newly forged peace between Viking clans and Dwarven holds. The campaign culminates in liberating dragons, renegotiating power in Ashwood, and determining Fenu’s fate in a world where magic and machinery intermingle.
