Campaign Premise

Prompted by a cryptic string etched across relics, the party learns that “tdfgh” is not a name but a broken sigil—the Sigil of the Weave. Once whole, it sealed rifts between planes; now its fragments sleep in ruined places and forgotten vaults. When the moons align, the sigil flares and the Weave trembles. The world is fracturing between seasons of magic, and only the party can reunite the sigil before the rifts swallow the frontier towns of Eldermist.

Setting

The campaign unfolds in Eldermist, a border realm where salt spray clashes with lexicons of magic. Cities bustle with traders and scholars, while ruins drip with lingering wards. The four anchors of the Sigil lie in distinct locales: Brinegate Harbor, a wind-battered port; Glasspeak Highlands, where crystal spires hum with captured weather; the Sunken Library beneath Blackwater Bay; and Moonspire Citadel, a tower of moonlit glass rumored to wander when the tide changes.

Main Quest

The players must locate and reassemble the four sigil fragments and awaken the Sealward Gate at the Obsidian Gate during the next celestial alignment. The fragments are guarded by ancient guardians, cults that crave power, and rival scholars who would bargain blood for knowledge. To succeed, the party must decipher clues in old tomes, outwit the Silent Choir, and survive planar hazards that erupt as the boundary to the Outer Weave grows thin.

Side Quests to Investigate

• A missing expedition to the Moonless Vault raises questions about a map that redraws itself when viewed by torchlight.


• A clockwork courier delivers coded messages about a “harbor of echoes,” hinting at a hidden place where memories are stored as physical objects.


• A child in Brinegate sleeps with visions of a running tide that carries strangers’ faces, a clue that leads to the first fragment.

Central Events & Triggers

Every two decades, the Harrow Eclipse occurs, when Harrow’s Star aligns with the world’s axis. During this window, sigil fragments glow faintly, rifts yawn wider, and the Silent Choir seeks to complete the full sigil to pierce the Void. The party’s choices determine whether the rifts close or spill something far worse into the world.

• A wary archivist pleads for help decoding a shard before it’s sold to the highest bidder.


• A tavern singer recites a verse that matches the sigil’s ticking pattern, pointing toward the first location.


• Rival factions seek to weaponize the sigil’s power; alliances will be fragile and short-lived.
