A grimdark horror campaign for 3–7 level characters, set in the Haunted Darkwoods. Ancient crypts lie hidden beneath roots and ruin, and a vampire cult wakes a portal to an alternate plane known as the Bleeding Mirror. The players must uncover forgotten lore, survive cult ambushes, and seal the gates before night consumes the forests and cities.
Setting & Tone
The Darkwoods are alive with whispers, shifting thickets, scent of iron, and recurring nightmares. The crypts are veiled, protected by puzzles and wards that feed on bad memories. Vampires rule in the shadows, playing courts of fear. The portal plane bleeds through on lunar convergence, warping reality and attracting horrors from beyond.
The Main Quest
1) Discover the Veiled Gate’s location and the crypts’ wards.
2) Gather three relics scattered through treacherous sites to seal the Gate: a Blood Sigil, a Mirror shard, and a Warden’s Key.
3) Confront and either slay or bind the Vampire Lord who feeds on the Gate’s energy.
4) Close the Gate and banish the Bleeding Mirror, or seal it permanently with a costly sacrifice at great price.

- Darkwoods: oppressive, shifting, with malevolent flora.
- Moonvale: a village of superstition and fear; missing posters.
- Cradlecrypts: ancient subterranean tombs with undead guardians and riddle wards.
- Blackspire Fortress: citadel of the vampire coven; perched above fog-shrouded cliffs.
- Veiled Gate: a hidden portal ring that bleeds crimson light during lunar events.
Hooks
- A child vanishes from Moonvale and returns speaking in a dead language.
- A scholar offers a map to the Cradlecrypts if the party rescues their family from a blood cult.
- A cultist trader promises power if the party helps 'open the Gate' during the next new moon.
