Main quest: Stop the rebellion from becoming a civil collapse while uncovering that the ruler’s power springs from Venca. The party must discredit the Crown’s authority, sever the magical tether on the throne, and force a reckoning with Venca’s true identity.
Key locations:
- Gravemantle (capital): the throne room, a labyrinthine palace, and a surveillance hub.
- Emberwatch Fort: rebel staging ground in the foothills.
- Whisperwood Abbey: a ruined mage-tower where hints of Venca’s past lie.

Main objectives:
- Build alliance with at least two factions and gain safe passage into Gravemantle.

- Gather or craft three artifacts (Crownbreaker Hammer, Shard of Night, Veil Key) to unlock the Throne Room’s hidden chamber.
- Confront Venca in his true form and decide the realm’s fate—banish, imprison, or destroy the source of the Crown’s magic.
Challenges and hooks:
- Spies in the capital, propaganda, and magical surveillance complicate every move.
- Moral choices: aid displaced workers or pursue strategic advantage; protect rebels or risk losing broader support.
- Time pressure: a rare celestial alignment will temporarily weaken the throne’s enchantments—failure could doom the rebellion for a generation.
Side quest to investigate: The Cartographer of Echoes vanished while charting the Crown’s hidden wards. His journal hints at a rebellion-supporting map-seal that reveals the true lay of Gravemantle’s corridors and the throne’s secret chamber.
Rewards: renown as heroes of a liberated realm, titles of regional guardians, alliances with rebel factions, and powerful magic items: Crownbreaker, Shard of Night, Veil Key, and access to vaults of protected lore.
