Overview

In a world where every individual bears a unique sigil and destiny, the century-spanning Convergence threatens to erase diversity and bind reality to a single truth. The Weaver, a rogue artificer, desires to unify all life under one order. The players are chosen as guardians of difference, each bearing a living cipher that resists monotony. Their quest is to locate five living sigils across Veris, awaken the Lattice of Uniqueness, and weave a ward strong enough to resist the Null Singularity.

Setting

Veris is a rimed archipelago of floating isles braided by aurora rivers and shifting leylines. Cities cling to spires, markets pulse with crafts that refuse to repeat themselves. Magic is deeply personal, shaped by memory and identity; two wizards with the same school may cast differently because their sigils differ. The Empire of Monolith enforces conformity with the Glass Crown, yet fringe realms celebrate individuality—bards who compose with living phrases, artificers who fuse disparate materials, sages who memorize every possibility.

Main Quest

The five Ciphers—Fire, Ice, Earth, Wind, Time—are bound to living guardians who test the virtue their sigil represents (courage, memory, empathy, curiosity, and promise). By reuniting the Ciphers and guiding their guardians to the Lattice, the party creates a ward that preserves unique paths while blocking the Weaver’s Null Weave. The final clash happens at the Axiom Spire during the Convergence, where truth must coexist with diversity and no one is allowed to erase another’s identity.

Side Quests

Rescue the memory of a dragon who chose to remain unique; broker peace between a city where every voice is duplicated and the original speakers; infiltrate the Weaveprison to free a trapped cipher without sacrificing your own uniqueness. Each side quest reinforces the central theme: identity matters, and cooperation honors difference.

Moon-touched messenger arrives with a riddle; a sigil tattoo blooms on a PC’s palm overnight; a village festival dares players to reveal a truth they keep hidden.

Challenges
