In this campaign entitled "The Sins of Youth", players navigate the treacherous landscape of a magical and oppressive society where lost youth are forcibly recruited into a juvenile reformatory known as the "Bastion of Resolve". Here, they are stripped of their identities and subjected to a regime of mind-altering disciplines aimed at reforming them into obedient citizens. The central quest is the struggle against this tyrannical institution and the search for redemption and freedom.

Setting

The campaign takes place in the kingdom of Eldoria, a realm marred by the scars of war and the stringent rule of the Iron Council. The Bastion of Resolve—a fortress hidden within the twisted Whispering Woods—houses wayward youths, reshaping them to fit the Council’s ideals. Key locations include:
- Bastion of Resolve: The imposing prison-like facility serves as the primary location where the party will uncover secrets, face the Custodians, and navigate the structured chaos.
- Whispering Woods: A maze of trees that may guide or mislead characters, filled with magical creatures and spirits trapped by their own pasts.
- The Underground: A network of dissenters striving to liberate the captives and reveal the Council’s dark history.

Main Quest

Track down the source of the Council's magic that binds the minds of the youths trapped in the Bastion. The heroes must infiltrate the prison, defeat the oppressive Custodians, and gather evidence of the Council’s malevolent practices.

Side Quests

One notable side quest involves rescuing an imprisoned seer who foretells a revolution if freed. Completing this side quest will provide the players with invaluable visions that can aid in their overall goal.

Central Events

  • Inciting Incident: A friend of a party member goes missing, rumored to be taken to the Bastion, prompting the group to investigate.

  • Rising Tensions: The players uncover an upcoming execution of a young rebel, inciting a rescue attempt and sparking rebellion within the Bastion.

  2. Unravel the source of the Iron Council’s power.

  3. Ignite a rebellion against the oppressive government.



Challenges

In addition to fighting Custodians, the characters will face psychological trials—ensuring they hold onto their identities in a place designed to strip them away.
