Racial Features

Fallen Wings

You bear a pair of angelic wings, now ragged and mottled with ash and bruise. You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You cannot fly while wearing heavy armor. If you fall more than 10 feet, you may use your reaction to slow your descent and land without taking falling damage. If you are under any effect that removes the ability to fly, this trait is suppressed until the effect ends.

Usage: Always

Celestial Tongue

You speak Celestial and Common. In addition, you can attempt to commune briefly with a celestial, divine spirit, or another fallen being: as an action, you can attempt to speak a simple idea or emotion to a celestial creature within 30 feet. That creature must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be strongly influenced by the emotion you conveyed for 1d4 rounds (the GM decides exact reaction); on a success the creature understands but resists emotional manipulation. This ability is subtle and meant for roleplay and social leverage rather than long-term control.

Usage: Twice per long rest

Celestial Legacy

Your fallen celestial nature grants you minor spelllike powers rooted in the sky and sorrow. You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast feather fall once per long rest without expending a spell slot. Starting at 5th level, you can cast daylight once per long rest without using a spell slot. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Usage: Thaumaturgy at will; feather fall once per long rest; daylight once per long rest (at 5th level)

Marked by Regret

Your fall left its mark: you are often subject to distrust and fascination. You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Deception, Intimidation, or Persuasion. Additionally, when you attempt to lie or persuade a creature that worships or reveres a lawful deity, you have disadvantage on the check unless you expend a use of your Celestial Tongue to sway them.

Usage: Always

Chaotic Inclination

Fallen angels tend toward chaotic views and unpredictable behavior. You have advantage on saving throws against effects that would force you to obey or be compelled to follow strict orders (magical compulsion such as geas and domination, and mundane strict chain-of-command effects while roleplaying), representing your fierce independence and contempt for absolute authority. The DM may rule certain compulsion effects are not applicable for roleplay reasons.

Usage: Always
