Racial Features

Natural Armor (Scaly Hide)

The Abashia's skin is thick, textured, and ridged with mineral-dusted scales that reflect heat. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this bonus.

Usage: Always

Pale Bite

You possess a sharp, scimitarlike bite honed by scavenging and hunting in the dunes. You can use your bite to make an unarmed strike. If you hit, you deal 1d6 piercing damage. This attack is a natural weapon, and you are proficient with it.

Usage: Always

Sandwalker

Desert sands that would slow another creature trouble you less. You treat difficult terrain composed of loose sand, scree, or dust as normal terrain. When you move across such ground, you do not suffer disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks caused by the unstable surface.

Usage: Always

Oasis Sense

You have long memories for the landscape's thirst and the way water hides itself. By spending 1 minute concentrating and making a DC 10 Wisdom (Survival) check, you locate the nearest substantial source of fresh water within 1 mile in temperate desert conditions and within 6 miles in open desert wastes. If successful, you sense the direction and approximate distance. Additionally, once per long rest you can cast create or destroy water (as the 1st-level spell) without using components.

Usage: Once per long rest (create or destroy water); 1-minute concentration for locating water as often as needed

Tombwise

Abashia are born with the instincts of diggers and keepers of ruins. You gain proficiency in Survival and with cartographer's tools. If you are already proficient in Survival, you may instead gain proficiency in History. In addition, you have advantage on Intelligence (History) checks related to tombs, ruins, ancient maps, or archaeological artifacts that originate in desert regions.

Usage: Always
