Class Features

Sand Whispers (Level 1)

Your soul resonates with the desert's arcane murmurings. You gain proficiency in Arcana if you don't already have it, and you can spend 1 minute studying a patch of sand to detect magical auras as if casting Detect Magic.

Sand Runes (Level 2)

You learn to inscribe mystical runes onto sand. Whenever you finish a long rest, you gain a number of Sand Runes equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1). You spend these runes to fuel your class abilities.

Prerequisite: Sand Whispers

Dune's Pulse (Level 3)

You learn to call upon the rolling desert winds to accelerate allies or decelerate foes within 30 feet (see Aura ability).

Prerequisite: Sand Runes

Temporal Glimpse (Level 7)

You can peer a moment into the immediate future. As a bonus action, you gain advantage on one attack roll, saving throw, or ability check you make before the end of your next turn.

Resource Cost: 1 rune

Prerequisite: Dune’s Pulse

Sands of Fate (Level 11)

Once per long rest, when you fail an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, you can spend 3 Sand Runes to reroll it and must use the new result.

Prerequisite: Temporal Glimpse

Master of Shifting Sands (Level 18)

You channel the might of a desert storm. Once per long rest, you can spend 6 Sand Runes to create a swirling sandstorm in a 60-foot radius around you. The area is heavily obscured, creatures inside are deafened and blinded, and any creature that starts its turn there takes 4d6 slashing damage. The storm lasts 1 minute or until you end it (no concentration).
