Ashavan Flamewardens are sanctified torch-bearers of an eternal flame, drawing on Zoroastrian veneration of Atar. They balance the cleansing power of fire with mercy, using their hearth to heal, purify, and scourge darkness. By daybreak they kindle a sacred brazier that accompanies them on every journey and stands as a living testament to truth and renewal.

Atar-Hearth Aura
10-foot radius Level 1

While your Atar-Hearth burns, you radiate protective warmth.

Effect:

Allied creatures gain cold resistance; hostile creatures have disadvantage on saving throws vs. your fire spells.

Class Features

Atar-Hearth (Level 1)

At 1st level you kindle an eternal brazier of living flame that hovers within 5 feet of you. While the hearth burns, you gain resistance to cold damage. You can extinguish or rekindle it as a bonus action.

Purity Pool (Level 2)

At 2nd level you gain a resource called Purity Points equal to your proficiency bonus. You can spend 1 Purity Point and expend one of your hit dice to remove one poison, curse, or fear effect from an ally you touch by feeding that energy into your Atar-Hearth. You regain all Purity Points on a long rest.

Flame Transmutation (Level 2)

Also at 2nd level, when you cast a fire spell while your Atar-Hearth burns, you can change its damage to radiant healing of the same dice for a target you touch. This uses the same spell slot and action.

Path of the Ashav (Level 3)

At 3rd level you choose a Sacred Path that shapes your flame-wrought power: Pyre Herald, Ember Sentinel, Sacred Forgebinder, or Dawnflame Oracle.

Ignite the Hearth (Level 5)

At 5th level you can stoke your Atar-Hearth into a searing aura as an action. For 1 minute, each hostile creature that starts its turn within 10 feet of you takes radiant damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1); allies gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier at the start of their turns. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until after a long rest or by spending 2 Purity Points.

Resource Cost: 2 Purity Points

Fravashi Echo (Level 7)

At 7th level you may spend 3 Purity Points as an action to summon an immaterial phoenix duplicate for 1 minute. The Echo mirrors one of your attacks or spells each turn, dealing radiant damage equal to half your spellcasting modifier (rounded up).

Resource Cost: 3 Purity Points

Echo Ascendance (Level 14)

At 14th level your Fravashi Echo becomes more potent. When you summon it, it lasts 10 minutes, deals full spellcasting modifier radiant damage, and can mimic two separate attacks or spells per turn.

Resource Cost: 5 Purity Points

Final Conflagration (Level 20)

At 20th level you can choose to let your Atar-Hearth erupt in a nova. As an action, you extinguish your hearth to unleash a 30-foot radius burst. Allies heal hit points equal to half your maximum HP; enemies take fire damage equal to your maximum HP (DC Wisdom save for half). Afterward, your hearth is gone until you finish a long rest.
